Syntax Themes and Language Coverage — 15 Reference Pages

8 palettes · 7 languages · every value taken from the renderer itself

Two questions decide how a code screenshot looks: which palette it uses and how well the language is tokenised. These pages answer both, one palette or one language at a time, with the actual colour values and the actual keyword lists rather than screenshots.

Frequently asked questions

Why are the themes all light?
Code screenshots end up in blog posts, slide decks and documentation where a light canvas keeps the code readable next to body text. The eight palettes differ by hue and warmth rather than by brightness, so any of them drops into a white page without a hard border.

Which page should I open first?
If you are choosing a look, start with a theme page: it lists the five tokens, the contrast each pair achieves and the CSS variables to copy. If you are checking whether your language is supported, the language pages list the exact keywords and comment rules the highlighter applies.

Ready to export? The Code2Image code to image generator applies any of these palettes to whatever you paste, and exports PNG or transparent PNG at the width you choose.
