Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

The following terms apply to code2image.com (the "Site"). Acceptance is implied by use, so if they are not acceptable to you, please stop using the Site.

The tool this page covers is Code2Image, a code-to-image generator. Put simply, it renders a snippet of code into a syntax-highlighted PNG you can drop into a document, a slide or a post, and the way it does so is this: it tokenises the snippet, applies a syntax theme to those tokens, draws the result to a canvas and exports the canvas as a PNG โ€” the highlighting comes from the same parser that colors the preview, so what you see is what gets saved. Everything stated here applies to that tool and the values it handles, and to nothing else.

Practically, all the calculation needs is the code you paste and the theme you pick. Typical reasons people open Code2Image include sharing a formatted code sample in a chat, and in every case the work happens on the visitor's own device rather than ours.

What the Site is

This Site is a free, browser-based code-to-image generator. Its output is produced from your input using the stated method and is provided for information and education, not as advice. Developer tools produce output for use in your own work, and you remain responsible for reviewing and testing it.

No advice relationship

Nothing on the Site creates a professional relationship of any kind. You are responsible for how you use any result.

What we are not liable for

To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision taken in reliance on a result from the Site.

The law that governs these terms

The law that applies to these terms is that of the jurisdiction where the Site operator is established, ignoring conflict-of-law principles.

Responsibility for tool output

The output of these tools is meant to be inspected before it is used. You are responsible for checking that it suits your project and for testing it wherever it matters.

Accuracy

We aim for correctness and document the method behind the tool. We do not warrant that every result is free of error, or that the content is complete or current. Where a method carries a recognized margin of error, the result should be read as an estimate.

What you may and may not do

The Site is available for your own personal or business use. Do not attack, overload, or scrape it to the point of harming other users, do not pass it off as your own work, and do not use it for anything illegal.

Copyright and ownership

The design, wording and code are ours or used under license unless credited otherwise. Linking is encouraged; reproducing large sections needs written permission.

How the Site is funded

Third-party adverts keep the Site free and external links appear for convenience. We vouch for neither, and neither can change an output.

Changes and downtime

We make no guarantee the Site will always be available. Any tool or page may be changed or removed at any time, and the service is supplied "as is".
